Flights are not currently included in Oliwa Travel packages, but we are on hand to provide advice on the best airlines and flight routes to use. Uganda’s main international airport is Entebbe, a 40 minute drive from Kampala. We provide a return chauffeur service from Entebbe airport to the hotel.

UK passport holders require a visa to enter Uganda, which can be easily booked through an online application system. However, not all nationalities – including many African countries – need a visa to visit Uganda. Visa exempt nationalities can be found on the Visit Uganda website.

There are numerous international standard private hospitals and pharmacies in Kampala, such as Nakasero Hospital, International Medical Center, Kampala, and Ruby Hospital. All are within a short drive of Onomo Hotel.

The cost of living in Kampala is significantly lower than European, and many other African, capital cities. For example, a starter, main course, and desert in Kampala’s high-end restaurants could cost £25, while £5 to £10 will cover the cost of your whole meal in most good quality restaurants. In a top bar or club, £1.50 will buy you a beer, and a bottle of spirits with table service could cost as little as £20.
